Golden Venture Farm Cooled Shipped Semen Contract
1. Upon request from mare owner, Golden Venture Farm (GVF) will provide: approved motile semen from Saint Sandro, capable of impregnating one (1) receiving mare at time of collection. Cooled shipped semen will be collected on site and processed for shipment at GVF’s lab. No guarantees shall apply on semen quality after approval, release, and shipping from GVF. All fees due to GVF, including, but not limited to, booking fees, stud fees, and any other associated fees due to GVF, must be paid in full prior to shipment of cooled shipped semen. No exceptions.
2. Any and all additional fees and/ or expenses associated with the shipped semen process, which may include, but not limited to: collection fees, shipping fees, container rental/other fees, veterinary fees, GVF lab fees, etc, will be the sole responsibility of the mare owner and must be paid if full to GVF at least 7 days prior to shipment of cooled shipped semen. No exceptions.
3. Semen request and collection days: All semen orders must be received 24 hours in advance before the requested collection date. All orders for semen shipment shall be filled as received subject to the availability of the stallion’s semen and GVF approval. All attempts will be made to fill all orders. If there is insufficient semen to fill all orders on a given day, GVF will determine which orders will be honored first. This decision will be based on a first come first serve basis. Normal days of collection available shall be: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. and Saturday. Sunday collections/shipping may also available but will not be guaranteed and may be at an additional expense - please call for more information.
4. Shipping container options available (a, b, or c- please select and circle choice at bottom of this contract):
a. Equitainer: A $300 deposit with additional $50 rental fee on any GVF owned Equitainer used will apply. Any loss or damage to the container will be the responsibility of the mare owner. Any compensation for loss or damage to the container will be deducted from the deposit. After receipt and use of container, container must be shipped back to GVF (unless otherwise directed), within 7 days by Federal Express or UPS. Deposit shall be returned to mare owner once container is returned, and the mare has been checked 30 days in foal by a licensed veterinarian. Any additional expenses incurred will be deducted from this balance. If container is not returned within Thirty (30) days of shipment, Golden Venture Farm shall consider container "lost" and deposit shall then be used to purchase replacement. Any deposit fees for "lost" containers used after 30 day allowance, and after purchase of new container, shall be non-refundable. Any late fees incurred shall apply to balance whether or not container is returned.
b. New Disposable Shipper: Mare owner can purchase a new disposable shipper at the price of $60 for their use. New shippers have a several usage life depending on care.
c. “Recycled” Disposable shipper rental: GVF offers this environmentally friendly option to mare owners. Shipper has been used prior, but still in good serviceable condition to ship semen within. A $20 rental fee on any GVF owned “Recycled” disposable shipper. Any loss or damage to the container will be the responsibility of the mare owner and a $30 replacement fee shall be billed direct to mare owner. After receipt and use of container, container must be shipped back to GVF (unless otherwise directed) for future recycling use within 7 days by Federal Express or UPS.

2. Container shipping fees: Price to be determined at time and method of shipment and billed direct to customer via credit card or fedEx number. (FedEx shipping is used and billed at current standard overnight rates. Aprox +or- $75-100.)
