Unico M is a "needle in the haystack" for US Grand Prix jumper and Hunter/Hunter Derby breeders. His pedigree reads like the "Holy Grail" of KWPN Jumper Breeding Legends. Bred by Stall Hendrix's breeding program and since import as a yearling, Unico M has been 'off the radar', privately owned, and these increible Grand Prix jumper lines have not been available to the public for breeding - until now. GVF has taken the wonderful opportunity in purchasing this Talented Jumper bred stallion and now can offer breeding opportunities to the public. We are very excited about being able to offer such incredible lines of such close old blood not available anywhere else in the US.

Unico M's talent shown for jumping was seen from a very young age and since then he has been ridden by both armature and professional riders in both the US and most recently in Canada where he competed on the local Vancouver Jumper Circuit at 4-4'6" jumpers. He has regularly jumped through the chute easily over 5'+ fences and showed exceptional scope and ability for the Grand Prix ring. Unico M will start his formal showing career in 2012 in the Jumper ring, with goal for Grand Prix Jumpers. We will continue to update on his progress and show results as they come in. Unico M has also been schooled for the dressage ring to the mid levels and showed potential for much higher. His temperament, gaits, and jump also are a strong indicator of his ability to potentially sire horses for the Grand Prix Jumper and "A" Hunter rings as well as Hunter Derby horses. This blend of athleticism allows hunter/jumper breeders a strong sire for their mare to ensure offspring that JUMP.

Unico M is a large framed Modern type 16.3 hand stallion with medium bone. He will add bone to a light mare, but not produce "Heavy".  We welcome inquiries on his size, and how it may cross with your mare. He will be a wonderful cross to light and medium boned mares to add a bit of substance and WB bone and to cross exceptionally well to TB, and modern type Warmblood mares.

We are very eager in seeking out TB mare owners interested in breeding to Unico M for producing US born and bred Jumper prospects. We believe the Grand Prix European jumper breeding of Unico M crossed upon the strong athletic blood of US Thoroughbred mares will result in some of the next generations finest US bred Grand Prix Prospects. Warmblood mares will almost certainly be a given to produce successful offspring coupled with strong pedigree to secure quality athletic offspring sired by Unico M.

Unico M was presented and is approved for breeding with RPSI SBII -elegible SBI upon meeting performance req. ISR/OLDna will also offer COP on foals out of approved mares. KWPN Reg B papers are also an option.

Unico M has been DNA tested and is Homozygous Black (EE). He can only produce genetically BLACK based foals and therefore foals will be black or bay. Unico M cannot sire a red foal ever.
