Ancestor information:

HighLight - a modern Dutch Warmblood / Canadian Warmblood. HighLight is an Argus son, and like his father, HighLight is an active competitor on the Grand Prix jumping circuit.

Argus - The only horse in the world that was simultaneously successful in both Grand Prix jumping and international dressage competitions. As of 2003, Argus has produced the second highest number of 1st premium offspring in North America of all approved stallions. In those, he has produced 22 star, 2 keur, and a number of approved sons.

In 1988, Argus sired more 'Premium 1' foals than any other breeding stallion in the US. In two breeding seasons, the stallion has sired more premium 1 foals than all other stallions during their entire breeding careers in the United States. In 1989, four out of the ten highest placed foals at the selection were sired by Argus. Argus has a jumping index of 129 and a dressage index of 131.

ARGUS' sports results include 1st place PCHSA Futures Finals for Jumping, and in 1989 finished in the top 5 in his first Grand Prix. He continued to prove himself as a jumper when he won the Grand Prix at Showpark of Delmar and the Sundance Grand Prix at the Arizona Winner Circuit in 1991. As a dressage horse, Argus held many titles including 1989 CDA Reserve Champion Fourth Level Horse of the Year and in 1990 and 1991 was one of the only horses to be competing successfully in both Grand Prix Jumping and FEI Dressage.

Argus' sire is PION by the famous thoroughbred ABGAR, who sired many famous jumping horses. At Argus' offspring evaluation in Holland, he received a first premium for offspring that had "Excellent and consistent in type, legs, body and movement." Argus’ dam Rozetta has been awarded two degrees, Pref., and Prestalie!

According to the 2003 NA/WPN published statistics, Argus has sired 76 premium offspring, 22 star offspring, and 2 awarded Keur status!! He also has sired a number of approved sons. Even though he hasn't been active in North America for 10 years, he still holds the second highest number of 1st premium and Star offspring of all the NA/WPN stallions!! Of all of his offspring, 33% of them received 1st Premium status!!!

Pion - Foundation stallion of the KWPN Dutch Warmblood Society. Pion sired a large collection of licensed sons and successful sport horses. His approved offspring was Aktion, Argus and Democraat. He sired Grand Prix dressage horses Aktion, Allure, Remember and Duphar and Prix St Georges horses Picasso, Conquestador, Cosmos, I'm A Star, Inovation and Pione. He also passed on good show jumping qualities to international horses such as Hermann's Paledo, Adora, Diamond Forever and Endeavour.

Vulcaan - champions on the line and in performance. Offspring are now competing and winning championships in advanced level dressage.

Patrick Patrick -The pure-bred Gelderlander stallion Patrick stood at stud in America. He was a showjumper at international level himself. In the American rankings of sires of international dressage horses he is in the top-ten of America and second of the KWPN-stallions, only outnumbered by Roemer a KWPN-approved stallion bred in Germany. Patrick reached the age of 25 years and could have contributed excellent to the increase of Gelderlander bloodlines.

Patrick was one of last of the Gelderlanders, the base breed for the Dutch Warmblood, in the World.  Famous for the quality of his mares, Patrick remains a huge influence on  Dutch Breeding in North America; in 1999 he was in the Top Ten Stallions List published by the USDF for offspring results.  This progeny continue their success in show rings all over the country, and will carry out his legacy for years to come.

We think Max looks a lot like his great grandfather Patrick.

Joost - The preferent stallion Joost was a top progenitor of show jumpers and was ranked highly ranked on the index. He had many international offspring including the approved stallions Hay Guy, Palfrenier, Ommen, VIP, and Carrera, Attentz B, Satchmo, Jongger II, and Germus R.  He had several KWPN approved sons like: Attent, Germus R, Hay Guy, Palfrenier, Radbound, Ultrazon, and had a breeding value of 148. The combo of Joost and Abgar became a very famous mix for show jumpers and included international competitors like: Ommen, VIP, Carrera, Germus R and Palfrenier and many others.

Hope all your breeding Ventures are Golden!
